Water and Energy Savers
Evolution
Prolonged drought, climate change and increased reliance on water, energy and fuel resources are global concerns that have become critical issues for Australia. Shortages caused by dwindling supplies, and resources being used more rapidly than nature can renew, have been compounded and exacerbated by wastage.

Well before these extenuating causes took hold in the public domain, Petar Basanovic, the MD of Water & Energy Savers (WES), recognised that water scarcity and energy use from non-renewable sources were going to be critical issues for Australia in future.

He believed that Australia’s water future depended on taking a responsible systematic approach, so he set about designing a national company that lived and breathed water resource management, and one which would provide a range of different solutions to cover every eventuality from pre-existing conditions to future developments.

Petar Basanovic, the Managing Director and founder of WES, recognised the impact these critical issues would have and determined that he would form a company that would seek answers and provide solutions.

The company founded in 1992 was originally a pioneer in water and energy efficiency services for power stations, mining (remote locations), hospitality and accommodation (SE Asia).
